I published this novel on Tango in Italy. I won a literary prize and received good reviews. Friends tangueros pushed me to translate it into French. I have the opportunity to present the story of Armando, a tango dancer of international renown with a difficult character, vain, haughty, anti-conformist and egocentric and of Lucia, a talented dancer who accepts a precarious love relationship, turning a blind eye to his partner’s betrayals.

But… an event forces them to change their life. The novel observes their evolution and their new way of interpreting life and tango. It’s a novel about resilience in the face of life’s difficulties, about the ability to know how to reinvent oneself.



Stefano Magni is a lecturer at Aix Marseille University. He is mainly concerned with modern and contemporary Italian literature and civilization.

In Italy, he also publishes novels, collections of poetry, and writes screenplays for the cinema.
