Román and Morán, two modest bank employees in Buenos Aires, are trapped by routine. Morán has a crazy plan: to steal a sum of money from the safe equivalent to their life's wages. Now delinquents, their fates are linked. As they go on the run and meet new people, each in his own way takes a new path towards freedom.

A dull, introverted professor, Marcelo has been teaching philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires for years. One day, an opportunity to shine finally presents itself: following the death of his mentor, he is approached to take over his chair. But then another attractive, charismatic candidate arrives from Europe, determined to take over the post too.
