Mehdi Al-Tinaoui graduated with honours from Geneva's Haute école de Musique in 2006, after studying with such great violinists and teachers as Claire Bernard, Alexis Galpérine and Marie-Annick Nicolas.

Since then, he has performed regularly with major orchestras including the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Lyon Opera and the Geneva Chamber Orchestra.

Always on the lookout for new experiences, Mehdi joined the Roulotte tango collective in 2009, where he perfected his interpretation of the tango rioplatense, and discovered the richness of popular music from Latin America. The collective's various formations have led him to perform throughout Europe and beyond, notably in Argentina.
