Alejandra is a tango dancer who achieved fame in the milongas of Buenos Aires before one day, she and Carlos, her partner and the love of her life, had to flee a country gone mad, swept away by dictatorship. Returned alone after the exile, she now wanders in the milongas and burns with rage against this small world that pretends to ignore her story. Until one night, Lucas appears. Young provincial come to live the tango in Buenos Aires, he is the spitting image of Carlos and Alejandra cannot ignore it. Years to wait.
Years that suddenly wither to leave room for only one desire, one truth: dancing. But at what price?

The author, Olivier Antoine, is a political scientist and an expert on South America. This book is his first novel. After years of traveling across the continent, he settled in Buenos Aires where he discovered the world of tango and its milongas. Today in Bordeaux, he
inspired by his years in the field to write a story where love and tragedy intertwine to the rhythm of tango.
