An enchanting journey into the heart of tango,
where music, dance and emotion come together to captivate you forever.
This unique show will immerse you in the enigmatic and creative world of Astor Piazzolla, one of the greatest tango composers of our time.
Piazzolla Tango is a unique experience, a sensory journey. To the rhythm of Piazzolla's masterful compositions played live by Tango Spleen Orquesta, eight dancers bring to life a performance full of passion, intensity and poetry.
This show, choreographed and directed by Luciano Padovani, animates a tormented Astor Piazzolla, haunted by his thoughts and persecuted by his own notes through theatrical dramaturgy. The ambiguity of tradition and innovation, dear to Piazzolla, is expressed through every gesture, every note.
We perceive the genius of the innovative musician, his vision of tango and music through the eyes of the man he was, a lonely man haunted by small obsessions. The composer seems absorbed in an unreal world of inner sounds, in distress, as if imprisoned in a dark raincoat, isolated in incommunicability with a deep desire to free himself from his skin, to run away.
We feel his desire to always be in another corner of the world. A small paper boat, symbolising his desire to "emigrate", appears on his desk at the beginning of the show.
"My soul is a mysterious orchestra; I don't know which instruments resonate and scream inside me: I know myself as a symphony, I feel the beating of my heart, the rhythm of the tango. It pursues me, it seeks me, it demands me, it asks me."
Silvio Grand's choreography refers to the profound meaning of dance: a work of the body, a natural work, in resonance with the name of the company created in 1988.
