Muriel Louette is exhibiting her drawings from 3 to 22 August at the Tourist Office, in an exhibition entitled “A tango: for better or for worse”.

She will talk to us about her artistic perspective on the world of the milonga, as well as how she selects the drawings, the narrative, and structures the final comic strip, which is due to be published shortly.

She offers her take on contemporary tango, but for the artist it is also a way of highlighting the comical moments, the blunders and the poetic moments experienced in the milonga. Each drawing is a moment in itself. “A question, a laugh – sometimes gently sarcastic… humour is a bulwark against the disarray of a situation taken from the reality of the dance floor.”
